Tabu’s unfilfilled Sexual desires
Immensely talented Tabu will be seen in Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi’s upcoming film. The film is set in the backdrop of the reign of Emperor Ashoka. The film resolves around the relationship between Emperor Ahoka and his son, Kinal. Tabu’s new avtar is a bit controversial in the film, as she plays a sexually deprived woman, thereby allowing a good deal of sexual connotation. She is cast opposite of Amitabh Bachchan and will be seen as sexually linked with Kunal, played by Arjun Rampal. As in the Director’s word, ‘She’s unable to achieve sexual fulfillment. Desire when uncontrolled, plays havoc with the mind. That’s Tabu’s story’ in the film. He also quotes that her character suffers from ‘ kama tanha’ or ‘sexual isolation’. The sexual yearning of Tabu’s character is contrasted with another character of the film, the character of Kanchanmala, Kunal’s wife, to be portrayed by Amrita Rao. According to Dwivedi, if Tabu’s character implies ‘thirst’, Amrita’s character implies ‘purity’. There seems to be quite a good opportunity to set a dramatic confrontation between these two leading ladies in the film.
How old is Mallika ?
There have been discprencies about Mallika’s age for a while now. Not very long ago, a news channel reported about how Mallika’s been lying about her age. They aired details about how she was 23 when she was working as an air hostess in 1994. They splashed proof too! So how come she is turning 27 and not 37 in 2008 after 14 long years? Some websites have reported that Mallika’s celebrating her 27TH birthday on October 24! There were even talks about the dame being married for a while and how she still claimed to be a virgin, making her the first married virgin on earth! We know that she has achieved quite a lot in life with her very own bold style and has given good performances in movies like ‘Murder’ and ‘Pyar Ke side effects’. Well, she’s also well maintained for a middle aged woman and has a great body and all that, but does it give her the right to lie about her age? Priyanka Chopra takes a dig at Katrina Kaif!
Priyanka Chopra doesn’t like her position in Bollywood to be challenged, And especially if it’s done by a wooden actress like Katrina Kaif! Priyanka Chopra has fearlessly stated, “I love to do films that have me in important roles and not where I am used just as a prop. I don’t see any reason to do films where I have 4-5 songs and 15-20 scenes just because they are touted to be commercial successes. What is the point of acting in such films and giving seven back-to-back hits? That doesn’t make you grow as an actress!” That’s not all. She’s also reportedly added, “I may have delivered a few flops but even those had me playing important roles. I have not and will never act in films where my role is inconsequential and that my only job in those films is to look pretty.” Now that’s really a blatant attack on Katrina who has delivered 7 back-to-back hits where the hero had everything to do and her presence was unimportant. Wonder what woody Katrina’s reaction to this will be! Or will she run to good old Sallu bhai for help and ask him to verbally bash up Priyanka on her behalf!

The music of Surya's latest bilingual film – Surya s/o Krishnan – was released tonight at Prasad Multiplex (Screen 1), Hyderabad. The film is made on the prestigious Aascar Films Private Limited banner. The film director Gowtham Vasudeva Menon, music director Harris Jayraj, hero Surya and heroine Sameera Reddy arrived at the venue. The dignitaries who graced the occasion were Victory Venkatesh, Ramcharan Tej, Priyamani, Maheshwari (with hubby) and others. CDs and Cassettes are being marked by the Sony BMG. Gowtham himself anchored the event.
Victory Venkatesh unveiled the music album and presented the first copy to Ramcharan Tej. Earlier, Priyamani unveiled the first song of the album and presented it to Harris Jayraj. Later, she played it on the DVD for the gathering. All through the function, the Harris Jayraj teammates – Steve (guitarist), Karthik, Devan and Naresh Iyer – kept the atmosphere rocking with their live orchestra with songs of Harris Jayraj (from Venky and Surya films). Two full-length songs and some scenes were screened to the media.
Surya said: "Whenever I come to Hyderabad, it is a special feeling to me. I love Telugu people. They still remember my film Ghajni. From airport to here, I found their warmth for me. I enjoyed the fish curry and dosa thanks to the hospitality of Allu Arvind sir. Venkatesh anna is always special to me. This film (Surya s/o Krishnan) is special in my career. I hope this album will repeat the magic of Hrudayam Ekkadunnadhi of Ghajini."
Gowtham Menon said: "The film is about the achievement of the youth. I am happy to make this in Tamil and Telugu. I thank each and every member of the cast and crew who worked for the film. Veturi Sundara Ramurthy garu is a legend who gave fantastic songs. Sashank's dialogues are great. I need the support of the Telugu people. I think we are small people here in Telugu industry, though we are big in Tamil. The film is set for release this Deepawali."
Harris Jayraj said: "I thank the people of Andhra Pradesh for their big support to me. I also thank the press. By God's grace, I hope I will be giving another hit album with this film."
Venkatesh said: "There can't be a better combination other than Gowtham-Surya-Harris Jayraj. I wish them all the very best. I hope this audio and film will be bigger hits on the lines of their film Ghajini. Music is fabulous."
Ramcharan Tej said: "I am happy to meet the press after a long time. I couldn't meet you due to busy shooting schedules. Sometime back, I saw a small teaser of this film. The trio (Gowtham-Surya-Harris) is a wonderful combination. This best three inspired in the past. Gowtham is capable to inspiring each and everybody. Sameera Reddy is a pretty doll. When Gowtham wanted to do this film in Telugu with me, I rejected it doubting that I might not do justice to the great script. But, I am going to do another film with him next year. I hope I too will be as lucky as Surya. In fact, Harris Jayraj is the real crowdpuller for the films for which he scored music. And he is going to score music for my film with Bhaskar. My best wishes to all."
Priyamani said: "I am happy to be part of this function. I am a big fan of Harris Jayraj and Surya. I heard the songs in Tamil and they are runaway hits there. I hope this album and film will also be hits in Telugu."
Sameera Reddy said: "I am a big fan of Khaka Khaka. I always wanted to work with Gowtham Menon if ever I could get a chance in Tamil. With this project, my dream came true. Surya is extremely handsome. I hope this film is a great start for me."

Harris Jayaraj teams up with Ram Charan
Tamil music composer Haaris Jayaraj will be composing music for Ram Charan Teja’s next film to be directed by Bhaskar. Ram Charan Teja informed this to the media at audio function of Surya starrer Surya s/o Krishnan. “I have been admirer of Haaris’s great work. Though straight Telugu movies had not fared well but his music was big hit. Bhaskar and I have decided to have Haaris’s music for our next film and Haaris has also agreed to it,” Ram Charan announced it on the stage as Haaris smiling cheerfully.

Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan will appear in a dance scene shaking legs for the remix song ‘Bangarukodipetta…’ from Gharanamogudu. The remix song is being shot for Ram Charan’s second film directed by Rajamouli. Keeravani, who scored the music for the original, is once again scoring the music for this remix. Sania Mirza who seems to have a soft corner for actors is now very friendly with actor Navdeep. Earlier there were rumors that Ankitha had consumed sleeping pills during a shoot with Navdeep in Mauritius.

NBK meeting with fans
Nandamuri Balakrishna today held discussions with the fans' associations at Ramakrishna Studios, Hyderabad. The discussion started in the morning and concluded in the afternoon. The four-hour-long meeting saw debate on the various steps to strengthen the Telugu Desam Party and the strategies to make the proposed Yuva Garjana at Guntur a grand success. Balakrishna also took several representations from the fans coming from all over the state.

Superstar Krishna today appealed to his fans to support the Congress party and see that the party came to power again under the leadership of Chief Minister Rajasekhar Reddy. He met the Krishna-Mahesh Yuvasena activists at Padmalaya Studios, Hyderabad, and addressed them. "My family has always been with the Congress Party since for long. It is not time for Mahesh to come into politics. But, he will also be supporting all your endeavors," Krishna said. The fans' activities for the Congress party will be guided by his brother and FDC chairman G. Adiseshagiri Rao. Krishna was a Congress MP from Eluru in West Godavari district. (1989-91).

The much-awaited districts-tour of Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi will take of from the famous Arasavalli Surya Devalayam (Sun temple) in Srikakulam district on October 9th, Vijayadasami day. After performing pujas at the temple, the yatra will commence in the afternoon to pass through Srikakulam, Narasannapet, Tekkali, Palasa, Sompeta, Kaviti, reaching Itchapuram. The tour will consist of Vijayanagaram and Visakhapatnam districts also. The route-map was ratified by the PRP president at a meet held with the key functionaries at the party office. The groundwork for the proposed mega tour commenced today and Chiru has decided not allocate time for any other programme other than the present venture

Mumbai, Sept 29[spicezee]: Nawab Saif Ali Khan has once again managed to stir up the media against him after his recent bang-bang with a few photo journalists. Bebo’s beau, who was shooting for a film in Patiala has landed into legal trouble after the police filed an FIR against him on charges of threatening to kill and assault. Saif has developed a cool head over this, and apologised for the misbehaviour. It all began when photo journalists Sandeep and Mohit tried to click some pictures of the Nawab puttar while he was on location, at a railway station, shooting for an unnamed flick. Saif objected to this following which there was a verbal duel. The actor then lodged a complaint against the journalists with the railway police station of Patiala. The event then took a wild twist when Saif’s security, allegedly on his orders, assaulted the journos and even snatched their cameras. Later on Sunday evening, several media persons held a protest against Saif on the Mall Road and demanded action against the actor. Both the journalists lodged a complaint against Saif and his security guards on the charge of manhandling them. Railway police registered a case against Saif under sections 506 (threatening to kill), 341 (assaulting), 536c (cause of damage) of IPC. "We will arrest him soon," asserted Government Railway Police (GRP) Inspector General (IG) GJS Grewal. However, Saif went ahead and placated the bashed-up photographer by calling up a press conference in Patiala. There, with trhe photographers in question sitting amicably beside him, Saif apologised for the incident. "As the producer, I apologise for this incident. I have great respect for the media and mediapersons." Saif said, sitting with a friendly arm around the photographer. Here’s hoping the incident cools down to the satisfaction of both parties, or Chhota Nawab will have a turbulent ’barred’ time ahead!

As if the hangover of two flop films is not enough, another bomb has been dropped over the head of Mallika Sherawat.
A sessions court has sent a legal notice to her and the owners of a five star hotel.
A social worker named Vinod Jain had filed an obscenity case against Ms.Sherawat and JW Marriot Hotel accusing the actress of performing in the hotel on December 31, 2006 wearing extremely revealing costumes.
The court has asked the two accused parties to give their clarifications before October 7. - (IndiaGlitz
